THANK YOU OTTAWA COMMUNITY!

A team from Liberal MPP for Ottawa Centre, Yasir Naqvi’s, office came by the Ottawa Food Bank warehouse today to help reveal how much this year’s Capital Food Blitz Food Drive raised during the weekend of June 16th.

Thanks to the generosity of the Ottawa community, 45,000 pounds of food was raised in two short days. That makes an accumulated total of 320,000 pounds of food over the last seven years of Capital Food Blitzes!

A big thank you to the participating Metro, Loblaws, Your Independent Grocers, and Superstore locations.

Also thank you to the wonderful volunteers and local politicians who took to the grocery stores to encourage the community to donate.

And of course, thank you to everyone who donated!
