May is our matching gift challenge month! Each year, a generous anonymous donor pledges $50,000 to the Ottawa Food Bank, if we can raise another $50,000! When you make a gift through the month of May, every $1 you give turns in to $2!
That means we can buy twice as much nutritious and healthy food, like milk, meat, eggs and fresh produce, for families in need.
Every dollar you give will be matched by this generous donor, up to $50,000. That means we could raise $100,000 to help the 41,500 people in Ottawa who need emergency food support. Thank you for helping us meet this ambitious goal!

Yes! Select “Matching Gift Challenge” from the drop down “Designation” menu, and your gift will automatically be matched by our donor.

What is the deadline for my gift?
Gifts must be made by May 31st to be matched by the donor. So please make as generous a gift as you can today!
Who is the donor that will match my donation?
The donor is a generous individual who has chosen to remain anonymous. But this donor wanted their gift to be leveraged to help support as many people who need food as possible. So they have generously, once again offered to match your gift, dollar for dollar!
