Ottawa Food Bank is looking for volunteers

The Ottawa Food Bank is still in need of more help during
Spring Food Drive

(OTTAWA) The Ottawa Food Bank’s Spring Food Drive officially launches this Saturday, April 12th, and volunteers are needed to lend a helping hand. The food drive will take place this weekend, as well as Saturday, April 19th at Metro, Loblaws, Superstores, and Your Independent Grocer locations across the city.

“The success of our Spring Food Drive depends on our wonderful volunteers,” says Jo-Anne Turple-Watson, Volunteer Coordinator at the Ottawa Food Bank. “They remind people of the need and encourage others to give.”

Volunteers are responsible for handing out grocery bags at the store entrances, and answering any questions shoppers may have. Please visit www.volunteer.ottawafoodbank.ca to read full details and to sign up for a shift.
