Ottawa Hunger Report 2016: The Invisible Face of Hunger

The Ottawa Food Bank has released its inaugural Ottawa Hunger Report: The Invisible Face of Hunger

Many of the facts and figures in the report will not come as a surprise.

What is less obvious is the alarming trend this report uncovers. The first-hand accounts of clients who seek help is proof that hunger is not reserved for the homeless or those on social assistance. It is all around us and largely invisible. It could be someone you work with or your neighbour. Someday it could even be you.

This report was made possible largely thanks to the Ottawa Food Bank’s member agencies who have embraced the new Link2Feed technology which helps us understand and support our communities. As Link2Feed continues to be used more comprehensive year over year data will be uncovered.
