Ottawa Stuffed 20 Buses as part of the OC Transpo Loblaws Christmas Food Drive

THANK YOU to everyone who donated during the 34th annual OC Transpo / Loblaws Christmas Food Drive. The community support during this event is incredible.

Buses were parked at 20 Loblaws, No Frills, Superstore, and Your Independent Grocery store locations with dedicated volunteers from OC Transpo and the community, as well as Jump! and BOOM radio stations. THANK YOU to everyone who took time in their day to volunteer to help the community.

Collectively, you all donated and helped raise 87,343 pounds of food to give back to people in need in our city. You also donated over $27,270 to the Ottawa Food Bank!

“As we prepare for the long and cold winter months ahead, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity we received from the community through this amazing food drive. We are so thankful to have the continued support of our partners, OC Transpo, and Loblaw,” said Michael Maidment, CEO, Ottawa Food Bank. “We thank them, the tireless volunteers, and everyone who made a donation for helping us make the holidays special for families and individuals in need.”

Thank you to the Loblaw locations’ managers and staff team who help make this food drive possible. We appreciate your support leading up to the event and the day of. We couldn’t do it without you.
