Volunteer Delivery Assistants Needed

Do you have 3 hours a week to help fight hunger in our community?  The Ottawa Food Bank is looking for volunteers to assist the Ottawa Food Bank transportation team with the delivery of food to our 140 community food program across the City of Ottawa.

Qualifications:

Individuals interested in this volunteer position must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • In good general health and able to lift 30 lbs
  • Available one weekday morning per week for a shift time of 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Dress for and work in the weather conditions of their scheduled day
  • Eager and able to follow the direction of the Ottawa Food Bank transportation driver that are matched with

Volunteers start and end their shift at the Ottawa Food Bank (1317 Michael St). They will be traveling in Ottawa Food Bank delivery trucks.   Individuals are not driving but assisting with the off-loading of food orders at the delivery locations.
