OTTAWA FOOD BANK RECOGNIZED FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW

Charity Intelligence Canada researches charities across Canada every year to create a list of their “top picks”. These charities must go through a very transparent research and analysis process in order to be recognized as a Recommended Charity by Ci.

“To find excellence, Ci researches and assesses charities. Our assessment extends far beyond just the numbers, looking at a charity’s mission, theory of change, history of results, outcomes rather than just outputs, and management,” states the Top Picks 2012 Charity Intelligence Canada report.

This year, 255 charities across Canada were contacted by Ci, 95 submitted audited financial statements, Ci performed 87 in-depth analyses of various charities across the country, and 45 charities were recommended.

The Ottawa Food Bank is very proud and honoured to be one of the chosen 45 Recommended Charities by Ci.
