Sunday, June 23rd marked Nando’s Chicken annual #NandosDash.
This event takes place across Ontario, with people in Ottawa being encouraged to run – not walk – to the Innis Rd location of Nando’s Chicken with a donation for the Ottawa Food Bank. In exchange, each person who showed up with a donation would receive a FREE flame-grilled ¼ chicken and a side of PERi-PERi fries.
This offer was available for just two short hours, and in that time people of Ottawa certainly showed their love for both Nando’s and the community.
In just two hours, Nando’s Chicken collected 605 lbs. of donated food from generous chicken lovers,
and handed out 241 quarter-chicken meals with fries.
THANK YOU to Nando’s Chicken for spearheading this fun event in support of people in need in Ottawa and across Ontario. Thank you as well to everyone who showed up with a donation. It truly means a lot to the Ottawa Food Bank and the community.
