[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tuesday afternoon, we answered a phone call stating that a few people are going to stop by with police escort and food donations. When the group, MotoForPeace, showed up, it was so much more that we could have ever anticipated!
The Ottawa Food Bank parking lot was suddenly filled with eight European motorcycles, two custom-built vans, and two of our City’s finest police officers on motorcycles of their own. One of these vans was packed to the brim with food donations.
Founded in 2001, MotoForPeace is an amazing group of officers from various European Police Forces, including Italian, German, and Spanish, who embark on motorcycle expeditions making stops along the way to help others. The goals for this year were centered around helping disadvantaged children.
Their trek began in South America in Panama City, Panama over two months ago. Ottawa was one of the last stops on their journey before they head back home. The group spent three days in Ottawa with our Ottawa Police Service and RCMP.
