An Amazing OC Transpo / Loblaws Food Drive!

As the Ottawa Food Bank’s longest running food drive, the OC Transpo / Loblaws Annual Christmas Food Drive is one that is looked forward to every year.

This year marks the 28th annual, and it was the most successful OC Transpo / Loblaws food drive to date!

Thanks to the hard workers at OC Transpo, the amazing staff at Loblaws, Ottawa Food Bank volunteers, and the generous Ottawa community, this year’s food drive brought in an incredible 170,000 pounds of food and over $12,000!

As a wonderful surprise, US Ambassador David Jacobson joined Mayor Jim Watson and Councillor Diane Deans at the Ottawa Food Bank warehouse on Monday. With him, he brought an additional donation of $5,000 worth of Loblaws gift certificates; a contribution that will definitely make a difference this holiday season.
