Ottawa Food Bank Executive Director Michael Maidment is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Morrison, formerly of the Ottawa Mission, as Chair of the Board of Directors. David Law, with Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, is now Vice Chair.
Stepping down as Board Chair, but remaining a Director, is Michael G. Adams, Senior Vice President of Brookfield Soundvest. Achievements during Mr. Adams’ three year term as Chair include the expansion of the Ottawa Food Bank, the addition of new recipient member agencies, and the recent recruitment of Michael Maidment as the organization’s new Executive Director.
With a fiscal year that begins October 1st, the Ottawa Food Bank enters its 30th year well positioned to serve the hungry in the Ottawa Region, in great part thanks to Michael Adams’ leadership. The food bank launches into its most critical season for food and fundraising with the annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive, taking place at grocery stores citywide the first and second weekends in October.
