BUY LOCAL SHARE LOCAL IS ON TOUR!
During Buy Local Share Local Days, market goers across the province are encouraged to purchase an extra portion of fresh local foods to donate to local food banks. Every donation helps in the fight against hunger.
This Saturday, Oct. 9 Anna Olson, from Food Network Canada, will be at the Ottawa Farmers’ Market with the Ottawa Food Bank team collecting local food.
Buying local has many benefits including environmental advantages, freshness, and supporting the local economy. And if you donate fresh local foods to the Ottawa Food Bank you’ll be helping those in need in your community as well.
Look for the Ottawa Food Bank at the Ottawa Farmers’ Market this weekend!
