3rd ANNUAL OTTAWA DESIGN / BUILD COMPETITION

CANstruction’s 3rd Annual Ottawa Design/Build Competition puts a visual spotlight on hunger while showcasing Ottawa’s generosity.

Head over the the Canada Science and Technology Museum to watch Ottawa’s creative minds at work. They’ll be building beautiful structures out of nothing but canned food on May 18 and 19. The canstructions will stay on display until June 2nd.

At the end of the competition, all the food will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank!

Who? Teams of five
What? Design and build a structure made only of cans!
Where? Canada Science and Technology Museum (1867 St. Laurent Blvd.)

Important Dates:

May 1 – Deadline for Entry, 5pm
May 3 – Kickoff Meeting – Ottawa Food Bank, 6pm
May 17 – Food Delivery
May 19 – Build Day, starts at 9am until 5pm
May 22 – Judging, starts at 7pm
May 19 – June 2 – Exhibit, Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm
June 2 – Decanstruction, starts at 9am-5pm
