Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston invite the public to get active and come experience various Nordic sports and traditions during Winter Celebration at Rideau Hall, on Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Highlights will include:
- dog sledding; giant ski races
- horse-drawn wagon rides
- kick sledding
- skating on the outdoor rink (ice conditions permitting)
- sample some winter snacks that will please the palate
- warm-up with hot chocolate and other hot beverages
- AND MORE!
Visitors are encouraged to bring and donate non-perishable food items and winter clothing. These items will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank and the Snowsuit Fund.
