THANKS FOR GIVING, OTTAWA!

A big THANK YOU to the volunteers, grocery stores, and donors who participated in our Thanks for Giving Food Drive throughout the Ottawa Region.

When the first weekend of the food drive came to a close we were short of our goal, but the generous people of Ottawa answered our appeal and showed up in droves during the second weekend of the drive.

The Ottawa Food Bank warehouse is overflowing with food as our drivers collect red bins across town. The current food count is around 217,000 pounds – and there is still more to come!! Stay tuned for an update on the final count, for what is sure to be a record breaking food drive!

UPDATE: WOW! A record-breaking 255,000 pounds of food!! Incredible – thank you to everyone in the Ottawa Region who participated in one way or another.
