A chance to see how your donations help us grow
We were thrilled to host roughly 150 of our amazing donors on our Community Harvest farm over the weekend.
Not everyone realizes that the Ottawa Food Bank has an 8-acre farm where we are able to grow over 100,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables in an ideal growing season. For that reason, we invited donors to join us for a few hours on our farm to see how they help us grow nutritious food for deserving families and individuals in our community.
Donors had an opportunity to go for a tour, speak with the farmer, learn about bees and the beehive that is on the farm, and enjoy some family fun.
