Food Aid BBQ & Breakfast with Mayor’s Rural Expo

FA Logo214 - smallTo raise money for our Food Aid program, we hold an annual BBQ. After all, what better way to raise money for a program that supplies beef to those in need than by selling burgers from The Works?

Rural businesses will be on hand to showcase their product/service or event at the Rural Expo from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both inside Jean Pigott Hall and outside in Marion Dewar Plaza.

When: Friday, June 6. The breakfast starts at 7 a.m. at City Hall, and The Works BBQ is from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at both locations.
Where: Two locations – 1) City Hall front lawn, and  2) NHCAP-Skyline Building by Tower 2, corner of Baseline and Merivale
What: A day of fun including:

  • A $5 pancake breakfast
  • BBQ with delicious hamburgers from The Works (At lunch, $10 gets you a burger, chips, and a drink)
  • Mayor’s Rural Expo
  • LIVE entertainment and fun
  • Plus, a day-long CFRA radio broadcast to help raise funds.

Last year’s event and CFRA radio broadcast raised an incredible $160,010 for the Ottawa Food Bank’s Food Aid program!

  1. I received your flyer concerning donations to Food Aid that tells me to go to http://www.ottawafoodbank.ca to make a donation to Food Aid. I do not see any place on your website that says click here for Food Aid donation.

Please enlighten me so I can make my donation.

    1. Hi Louise,

Sign up in what way? If you mean to come for breakfast or lunch, you’re welcome to just show up to City Hall and enjoy what the day has to offer.
Otherwise, feel free to email me (samantha@ottawafoodbank.ca) so I can further understand what you mean.

      Cheers
