Ayant perdu son p\u00e8re \u00e0 un jeune \u00e2ge, Yves a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9 par sa m\u00e8re, qui g\u00e9rait un h\u00f4tel et a choisi d\u2019envoyer ses enfants au pensionnat afin de leur assurer une solide \u00e9ducation. Cette exp\u00e9rience a profond\u00e9ment fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 la compr\u00e9hension qu\u2019Yves avait de la r\u00e9silience et des possibilit\u00e9s offertes par l\u2019\u00e9ducation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:210,&quot;335559739&quot;:210,&quot;335559740&quot;:300}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Il a ensuite poursuivi des \u00e9tudes en droit civil \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa et a r\u00e9ussi son examen du Barreau en 1970. Au d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re, il a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide juridique, soutenant des personnes ayant besoin d\u2019un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des services juridiques, avant de poursuivre son parcours professionnel \u00e0 Ressources naturelles Canada.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:210,&quot;335559739&quot;:210,&quot;335559740&quot;:300}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">En dehors de sa carri\u00e8re juridique, Yves\u00a0avait\u00a0une v\u00e9ritable passion pour l\u2019investissement. Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas la recherche de richesse qui le motivait, mais plut\u00f4t le d\u00e9fi intellectuel et la discipline que cela exigeait. Avec le temps, il a connu du succ\u00e8s, tout en choisissant de mener une vie modeste.\u00a0Connu comme personne\u00a0discr\u00e8te, il accordait une grande importance \u00e0 la simplicit\u00e9, aux amiti\u00e9s de toute une vie et aux int\u00e9r\u00eats partag\u00e9s, notamment\u00a0pour\u00a0plusieurs sports tels que le hockey, le ski, le golf et le tennis.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:210,&quot;335559739&quot;:210,&quot;335559740&quot;:300}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L\u2019impact d\u2019Yves sur les autres \u00e9tait discret, mais durable. Il offrait du mentorat \u00e0 ses amis, partageait ses connaissances, \u00e9tait une personne respect\u00e9e et source de confiance. Lorsqu\u2019il a pris sa retraite h\u00e2tive \u00e0 50 ans, il avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00e9ritage qu\u2019il souhaitait laisser. Ayant v\u00e9cu simplement et sans exc\u00e8s, il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de consacrer l\u2019\u00e9pargne de toute une vie \u00e0 des causes caritatives.
