The Ottawa Food Bank is grateful for the support of Halogen Software. Recently, the organization has held two separate food and fund raising events in their office, with donations benefiting the food bank.
Both events showed the fun spirit and creativity of the organization’s staff.
First, the office did an event modeled after the popular Canstruction events. Theirs had a different twist and was called CANukshuk – staff members built their own inukshuks out of food items that were later donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.
More recently, Halogen Software held a games-day breakfast that featured a dunk tank! The dunk tank was “pay to play” and the profits were donated to the food bank.
Between the two fun events, Halogen donated $1,200 and over 1,240 lbs of food!
Thank you to everyone at Halogen Software for thinking of the Ottawa Food Bank. Your contributions will go a long way to help those in need in the Ottawa community.

Thanks for highlighting Halogen’s fundraising activities on behalf of the Ottawa Food Bank! Employees really enjoyed participating and the competition for the CANstruction was fierce!
You’re very welcome! We’re grateful for your support – and it’s awesome to see an organization having fun while helping the community!
Canukshuk… What a creative concept. Way to go, Halogen. What an attractive, visual way to donate to a food bank. This is freecycling on steroids!
