“How can I help with a food drive?”

We have received a number of calls from amazing supporters and organizations wondering how they can help. Wondering how they can hold a food drive to help families and individuals in need as a result of the storm that hit Ottawa and surrounding areas.

We appreciate all the offers of support! Thank you very much. If you would like to hold a food drive in support of the Ottawa Food Bank, please fill out the registration form linked below. Please see our online Event Toolkit for posters to help with your food drive efforts.

Please note: at this time, we can not offer to deliver food collection boxes. With our trucks doing additional emergency food deliveries on top of our usual distribution, we unfortunately do not have the resources to deliver collection boxes. You are welcome to come pick up boxes at our warehouse (1317 Michael St) or use your own.

If you’re looking to volunteer, please visit our online Volunteer Hub sign up page and select a volunteer opportunity that works for you.

And of course, monetary donations are a big help for us at this time. We anticipate to distribute a month’s worth of food – above and beyond our usual deliveries – this week. Your donation helps us purchase the food we need to help community food programs and homes across the city restock their fridges.

Thank you everyone for your incredible support.
