IBM at Tom Black’s Farm

Thank you to the team from IBM who came out to Tom Black’s Farm on Saturday, September 15th. The team consisted of IBM employees from Canada, US, and Dubai – all of whom are working with the Mayor and City of Ottawa on light rail and other special projects.

Their volunteer work was part of a wonderful, long-standing partnership between IBM and the Ottawa Food Bank. IBM employees are no strangers to work in farmer’s fields.

The group from IBM worked hard, and harvested approximately 590 lbs. of carrots, 90 lbs of beets, and 40 lbs of potatoes!

Thank you for your help! Our Community Harvest program is an important way for us to get fresh and healthy produce to members of our community. Your help is truly appreciated.

Hard at work!
