Food Aid Day!

Food Aid is a program that allows the Ottawa Food Bank to purchase beef in order to feed the hungry. Every dollar donated to Food Aid is used to buy and process beef from local farmers. The program adds nutritious protein to the diets of needy families while supporting our local farming community. June 3rd will mark the 7th annual Food Aid Day at Marion Dewar Plaza at Ottawa’s City Hall (110 Laurier Ave. W). Join us for a lunch time filled with great food and entertainment – all for $10 that supports Food Aid!

Highlights this year include a live broadcast and radiothon by 580 CFRA, a celebrity milking competition starting at 10:30AM, a BBQ provided by The WORKS from 11-2, live entertainment from the Chad Wolfe Fiddlers and Step dancers, Fridge Full of Empties and much more.

Can’t make it out on June 3rd? Help put nutritious beef on a family’s table with your donation OR text BEEF to 45678 to make a $10 donation to Food Aid (details at mobilegiving.ca). Click here to see the poster
