Sharing some retrospective love this Valentine’s Day
With the holiday season well behind us, we at the Ottawa Food Bank want to extend our biggest thanks to the people and communities of our lovely city. It is because of your generosity that we are able to provide for the 38,400 people who require donations from the Ottawa Food Bank and their community food program.
Thank you to all who donated over the holidays and continue to place donations in our bins at Loblaw, Your Independent Grocer ®, No Frills or Real Canadian Superstore locations. These donations helped your neighbour serve her children a delicious meal, ensured an elderly community member didn’t go without, and delivered needed groceries to families all over the city.

Though the “season of giving” has come and gone, the need for donations has not gone away. This year, approximately 38,400 people will visit their community food program each month with a food assistance request. Of those people needing this assistance, 35 per cent are children. For this reason, we ask that you continue to think of those in our communities and support families who rely on the Ottawa Food Bank.
From all of us at the Ottawa Food Bank, we wanted to send a sincere thank you to the entire community. Without your continued support, we couldn’t possibly meet the needs of the community and provide our neighbours with balanced meals for their families.
