TAKE ACTION. INSPIRE CHANGE. MAKE EVERY DAY A MANDELA DAY.

In 2009 Nelson Mandela’s birthday – July 18th – was declaired “Mandela Day” by the UN General Assembly.

The objective? Honour the legacy of South Africa’s former President and his belief in commitment to volunteering and community service.

This year, the South African High Commission in Ottawa, partnered with The Ottawa Easy Seventh Day Adventist Church, will be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Where to drop-off donations?
July 16 – Ottawa East Seventh Day Adventist Church – 194 Prince Albert St.
July 18 – South African High Commission – 15 Sussex Dr. (between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
