Ottawa Dined Out for Hunger

Many residents of Ottawa (including Ottawa Food Bank staffers!) enjoyed a meal out on Wednesday, October 24. The date marked the Ottawa Food Bank’s first Capital Dishes – Dine Out for Hunger; a day where restaurants throughout the city donated 10 per cent of their sales to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Through the 13 restaurants who participated, a total of $3,025 was raised for the Ottawa Food Bank; enough to fuel our Community Harvest truck for a full year!

This is an amazing effort for the first year of the campaign – and we are looking forward to making it bigger and better in years to come.
