Ottawa played hockey for food

A great Five Hole for Food

Thank you to the wonderful team behind Five Hole for Food for once again including Ottawa in the coast to coast hockey tour raising food and funds for food banks. It has been amazing to watching the tour grow since it’s inauguration five years ago.

The threat of rain held off for the day, keeping the temperature perfect for the hockey players running around in the set up rinks on Sparks Street.

It was wonderful to see the generosity of those who came out to play, those who came down just to donate, and those who donated as they were passing by. Because of all of you, we raised 62 pounds of food and nearly $1,730 in one afternoon! We owe a tremendous thanks to sponsors of the event, Tangerine, for donating $1,000 of that total. WOW!

A big thank you to the Sparks Street BIA who generously donated a pair of weekend passes to Bluesfest. Congratulations to our winner, Jeff!

Thank you to all involved in this amazing tournament. We can’t wait until next year!
