Purolator and the REDBLACKS helped us Tackle Hunger

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our REDBLACKS may not have tackled the Alouettes on July 13th, but they did help us and Purolator to Tackle Hunger!

The Saturday afternoon game was the annual Purolator Tackle Hunger Food Drive. RNation and football fans were encouraged to bring donations for the Ottawa Food Bank to the game. With a donation, you could get your photo taken with the grey cup, and had a chance to win a REDBLACKS jersey and meet 4-time Grey Cup winner Damon Allen!

In just a few hours before the game as people began to fill TD Place, Ottawa Food Bank and Purolator volunteers collected the equivalent of
23,802 lbs of food for the Ottawa community!
THANK YOU to everyone who generously donated.

THANK YOU to Purolator for continuing the tradition of supporting people in need across Canada, including here in Ottawa, with this wonderful initiative. This event means so much to us, as it happens at a time when donations are traditionally at their lowest. You not only help to bring in a generous amount of donations, but you also help us to remind the community that the need is still great in our city during the summer months.

Also thank you the REDBLACKS and OSEG. You are incredible partners in this initiative and your participation and support means so much to us and our neighbours. Thank you for your enthusiasm and everything you do for us.

Finally, thank you to the volunteers who helped and the sports fans who donated. The day simply would not have been a success without you.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”19652,19653,19654,19655,19656,19657,19658,19661,19662″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
