Last month, Rotary Clubs across the City included the Ottawa Food Bank in their day of service.
Locally, they did a food drive at Metro Glebe and Loblaws Rideau as part of a Rotary District wide effort to underline the problems of hunger which still exist in even our most affluent communities. This initiative had great success and was able to raise an impressive amount of food and money in less than a day.
The efforts at both locations brought in a combined total of $1,150 and 1,400 lbs of food! On top of this already amazing donation, the Rotary Club itself donated $1,500!
