The Gloucester Lions’ Club has graciously chosen the Ottawa Food Bank as their charity of choice for the next two years and is pledging $5,000 each year to go towards keeping our fleet of trucks on the road.
This generous donation will therefore go towards our Fuel the Food Bank program.
A donation of $5,000 is enough to keep our fleet of eight trucks active for at least six weeks. This is no small feat when you consider that the Ottawa Food Bank delivers 14 tons of food, per day, to the 140 programs local food programs the Ottawa Food Bank supports.
