[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We would love to recognize the hard work and dedication of a group of volunteers who join us Thursday mornings to manage donations in our warehouse.
This group always shows up with an incredible attitude and excellent work ethic.
Recently, they have been helping sort the massive donation the Ottawa Food Bank received as part of the Loblaws discount division packing challenge that took place at Lansdowne in February.
It should be noted that from this particular Loblaw donation, 15,995 lbs of food has already been sorted and distributed to our community food programs! This was no small task – so thank you to our Thursday group, and folks from Ericson, DND, and Telus who helped.
Volunteers like these amazing people are a integral part of our organization and without them we wouldn’t be able to continue to effectively help our neighbours move beyond hunger.
