Bike Tour Promotes Community Gardens

The 2012 Urban Agriculture Bike Tour for Aug. 26 is organized through Just Food, in an effort to inform participants the importance of having a sustainable food system in their city.

The tour begins downtown and will take cyclists through Sandy Hill, the Glebe, Old Ottawa South, Old Ottawa East and over the Rideau River to Alta Vista for a total of a 12-kilometre bike ride.

Time: 1 – 5 p.m.
Meeting spot: St. Paul University parking lot
Price: FREE! With a suggested donation of $5 that will go to the Ottawa Food Bank
