VMware Shopping Food Drive

HOW MUCH FOOD COULD YOU PURCHASE IN 20 MINUTES?

VMware, a global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, challenged some of their customer representatives to grocery shop and forward the proceeds to the Ottawa Food Bank.

The event took place at Metro Southgate on the evening of December 19th.  With a list of our most needed items in hand, shoppers took to the aisles to buy as much as they could in 20 minutes. The groceries were paid for with credit cards provided by VMware, itex, TeraMach and Trend Micro and the final bill was upwards of $6,000!

The 9,000 pounds of groceries were immediately loaded into a truck and brought to the Ottawa Food Bank warehouse, where they will get distributed and delivered to those in need in the Ottawa community.

Thank you to VMware, itex, TeraMach, Trend Micro, Metro Southgate, and everyone involved!
