The Ottawa Food Bank is looking for an individual to fill a position as a Dietitian. The position is a 12-month, full time contract with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will be a registered dietitian (RD) paired with an in depth understanding of the social service system and issues surrounding food insecurity. If you are detail oriented, innovative, and have a passion for the Ottawa Food Bank’s core values and mission, then you may be the person we are looking for.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for evaluating current practices and processes with a view to create internal standards and guidelines for the food and nutritional quality of the food purchased, accepted, used and distributed to reflect our mission of ‘healthy, accessible, sustainable food for all’.
This 12-month contract position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Programs & Planning working closely with a team, including the Program Development and Evaluation Coordinator and the Programs and Planning Coordinator as well as our agency partners. There is a possibility of extension at the end of the contract.
