We need YOU for Community Harvest

Please see below for upcoming volunteering opportunities this week for the Ottawa Food Bank’s Community Harvest Program. Our Community Harvest Coordinator Jason Gray has an urgent need for volunteers to help harvest fresh produce!

Please consider getting your hands dirty for a good cause.  Groups, families and individuals 18 yr of age and older are welcome to volunteer!

Summer carrot and beet harvesting and other jobs

Thursday, Aug 15th Potential Shifts: 1) Morning: 9am – 12pm and/or 2) Afternoon: 1pm – 4pm and/or 3) evening 430 – 7pm
Friday, Aug 16th Potential Shifts: 1) Morning: 9am – 12pm and/or 2) Afternoon: 1pm – 4pm (no evening shift on Friday)
Saturday, Aug 17th
Potential Shifts: 1) Morning: 9am – 12pm and/or 2) Afternoon: 1pm – 4pm (no evening shift on Saturday)

Location:   Tom Black’s Farm, near Stittsville, ON
(Once you’ve uploaded the map you can right click on the blue place mark and choose “Directions to Here”)
The closest access to the field where we will be working is located on Mansfield Rd at the southern end of the farm.

If you’re interested and able to volunteer, please:
1) confirm your attendance on a particular date by emailing Jason@theottawafoodbank.ca
2)  indicate which shift(s) you would like to sign up for

Jason will provide further details to those registering for a shift.
