Food Aid Breakfast & BBQ

Food-Aid-LogoTo help raise money for our Food Aid program, we hold an annual BBQ. After all, what better way to raise money for a program that supplies beef to those in need than by selling burgers from The Works? This year will once again be including a delicious breakfast as well – the breakfast is wonderfully donated by Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm!
Rural businesses will once again be on hand to showcase their products, services, and events during the Mayor’s Rural Expo both inside Jean Pigott Hall and outside in Marion Dewar Plaza.
When: Thursday, June 2. The breakfast starts at 7 a.m. at City Hall, and The Works BBQ is from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where:
City Hall front lawn
What: A day of fun including:

  • Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm Pancake breakfast (yours with a donation to the Ottawa Food Bank)
  • BBQ with delicious hamburgers from The Works ($10 gets you a burger, chips, and a drink)
  • Mayor’s Rural Expo
  • Animals
  • LIVE entertainment all day – including the Blackwell Band!
  • Plus, a day-long CFRA radio broadcast to share the stories of the day

Last year’s event raised an incredible $132,000 for the Ottawa Food Bank’s Food Aid program!
