From November 17 to December 12, the Ottawa Food Bank had the incredible honour of partnering with Bell Media for the CTV Your Morning Ottawa Food Drive, proudly sponsored by Doyle Salewski Inc.
Throughout the campaign, CTV Your Morning Ottawa, featured inspiring stories from our community, highlighting the significant impact of food and funds raised for the Ottawa Food Bank. The initiative wrapped up with an exciting, on-air food and funds drive where supporters joined us live at Bell Media’s Ottawa studio. The energy was electric as supporters, partners, and volunteers came together to make an unforgettable difference!
At a time when more than 1 in 4 households are struggling to afford enough to eat, it was heartwarming to see the community come together.
From December 8 to 11, viewers heard from incredible voices in our community including:
Rachael Wilson (CEO), Natalie Spooner (Incoming Interim CEO), Kelly Barry (Registered Dietitian), Ugochi Ibeh (Family Support Resource Worker, Carlington Community Health Centre), Emily Coja (Senior Nutritionist, Ottawa Public Health), Line Côté (equiTABLE Resident Expert) and Tricia Johnson (Director, Communications & Development). Stories from the week can be found on CTV Your Morning Ottawa’s website.
Thank you to our community members who told their stories, our donors who stopped by or made donations in advance, our volunteers, and to the CTV Your Morning Ottawa and Bell Media team for organizing the Food Drive! Together, you raised:
$380,110.59 + 24,825 lbs of food!
