I want to take the time to tell you about Kya – a young girl in need of your help.
Families like Kya’s need your help. Kya’s mom and dad have always worked hard. While money has been tight in the past, it’s gotten much worse since the pandemic. Kya’s mom and dad both lost their jobs. Her dad was working in a hotel, her mom in a restaurant. These days, Kya and her younger brother Myles often open the fridge or the cupboards looking for a snack and come up empty-handed.
Kya isn’t expecting much for Christmas. Usually, her family would get together with grandma and grandpa, aunties and uncles and cousins, but that’s not going to happen this year. It will just be Kya, her younger brother and her mom and dad.
For a young child like Kya, Christmas is supposed to be a time of joy and wonder, a time to look forward to with joy and anticipation. And yet, it can be so hard for families who are struggling financially, to meet all of their children’s daily needs, let alone create a joyous holiday experience.

However, there is no bad time to donate. Every dollar donated gets transformed into approx. $5 worth of food.
