Thank you! OC Transpo / Loblaw Annual Holiday Food Drive 2025

This year marked the 41st Annual OC Transpo / Loblaw Holiday Food Drive. On Saturday, December 13, residents across Ottawa visited participating Loblaw stores to donate food and funds to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Since the time the Ottawa Food Bank was founded in 1984, OC Transpo, Loblaw, and the City of Ottawa have come together over the holidays to support the community through donations of food and funds. Food insecurity in our city has reached emergency levels, with more than one in four households struggling to afford food. Community partnerships like this are essential to ensuring families and individuals have access to healthy, nutritious food not only during the holiday season but throughout the year.

This year’s event would not have been possible without OC Transpo, Loblaw, and the City of Ottawa. Additionally, over 180 volunteers signed up to collect donations at more than 20 participating stores. We sincerely thank everyone who not only donated food and funds, but also their time.

Together, the community contributed:

$26,940.48 in financial donations
87,652 lbs of food

Thank you again to our dedicated donors, partners, and volunteers for thinking of our neighbours this holiday season.
