SANDWICH MAKING DAY!

St. Mark High School, a long time supporter of the Ottawa Food Bank, was looking for something a little different to do this spring, on top of the usual food drive they do in the fall.

Together, the students and teachers decided on Sandwich Making Day and made thousands of sandwiches to give to those in need. Fifty students hopped on a school bus with all their sandwiches and delivered them to Shepherds of Good Hope, Operation Come Home, and the Ottawa Food Bank.

In addition to the ready-made sandwiches, the students also left behind extra loaves of bread and jars of condiments!

Thank you to all involved at St. Mark High School. These sandwiches will go to some of our meal programs across the city and help fill some tummies!
