As the winter approaches and holiday season begins, families and individuals across Ottawa will continue to have difficulty keeping food on the table.
This Thanksgiving, give back to your community by participating in the Thanks for Giving Food Drive. Celebrate the holiday season by coming together to support our community.
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM you can contribute to the food drive by dropping off non-perishable food items at the participating (Loblaws, Metro, Real Canadian Superstore, etc.) listed below. At the entrance of participating grocery stores there will be Ottawa Food Bank volunteers to collect donations. You can also make a monetary donation through our website here.
This holiday season, our most needed items are canned fruit, canned beans, canned tomatoes, pasta, pasta sauce, baby food and diapers. The most needed snacks are oatmeal packets, whole grain granola bars, dried fruit, and fruit cups. If you are unable to attend the food drive, we invite you to make a monetary donation. We are thankful for your generosity.
