The Ottawa Food Bank is looking for an individual to fill a full-time position for Director, Communications & Development.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Communications & Development will develop strong fundraising and communications plans to support the organization’s overarching strategic plan. Working with a team of nine, this position is responsible for revenues in excess of $8 million, and shares responsibility for securing over $6 million in donated food, as well as crafting the messages for building brand and community.
The ideal candidate is secure sitting at the executive table and working collaboratively to design the strategic plan. You are comfortable with innovation and trying new things, knowing that failure is a part of the process. You have worked in a management role, overseeing a team with diverse portfolios. You are comfortable coaching and developing staff to help them grow both professionally and personally. You are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment and ensuring our communications and fundraising practices reflect this.
