For 10 years, teams across Ottawa have stepped up to the sorting table to help fight food insecurity.
This year marks the 10th edition of Food Sort Challenge, presented by Mondeau Bathroom and Kitchen, a division of Boone – and we’re turning up the volume at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa!
Food Sort Challenge is one of our signature events, bringing together corporate and community teams for a high-energy event filled with teamwork and impact.
On Friday, May 8, 2026, teams of up to 10 will go head-to-head in the Battle of the Cans: a fast-paced race to sort 1,000 pounds of food as quickly and accurately as possible.
With an official clock running, food sorting guidelines, and surprise challenges, teams compete for titles, including:
- Fastest Sorting Time
- Most Spirited Team
- Top Fundraisers
LiVE 88.5 FM will be keeping the energy high throughout the day, bringing music and momentum.
