Sodexo and the Ottawa Food Bank hosts annual BBQ for summer camp children

As part of Ottawa Food Bank’s KickStart Program and Sodexo’s Feeding Our Future® initiative, over 200 excited children from the Ottawa area enjoyed an amazing day and free BBQ at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on July 17th.

Through this amazing initiative a total of nine community house summer day camps were able to participate in the BBQ and all the activities of the day.

Throughout July and August, Sodexo employees volunteer their time to prepare over 400 healthy lunches each day which supplement 270 lunches provided and distributed by the Ottawa Food Bank to community house summer day camps.

The Ottawa Food Bank would like to extend a big thank you to Sodexo, their employees, and the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum for all their work and effort in making it such a great day in the sun! And thank you to Sodexo for Feeding Our Future!
