The Chicken Farmers of Canada are celebrating Canada Day with their annual BBQ at Major’s Hill Park.
This year astronaut Colonel Chris Hadfield has created a delicious chicken sandwich called “Back to Earth” that will be served at this year’s BBQ!
As in previous years, 50 cents from each chicken sandwich sold will benefit the Ottawa Food Bank. The Chicken Farmers of Canada would also like to thank Maple Leaf Prime, for providing the chicken for the event and for helping them do our part in the fight against hunger.
The Chicken Corner will be full of balloons, music, cooking demos and other entertainment. Customers can come buy their special sandwiches on July 1st from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., (or while supplies last).
