Recap: Corporate Community Ambassador Program

Community members across Ottawa have continuously shown us that they want to act against food insecurity in the city. In 2024, individuals and groups alike took many actions to support the Ottawa Food Bank and the network of 71 agencies that support 98 food programs. One such effort was the Corporate Community Ambassador Program.

For a limited time, the Ottawa Food Bank offered personalized weekly visits for corporate groups in the city from October to December. During their half-day visits, groups spent time touring the Ottawa Food Bank warehouse, sorting food, and completing an advocacy-related activity to learn about the realities of food bank usage and food insecurity in the city.

Overall, we had 9 groups participate in this first-of-its-kind program. Thank you to:

  • Amazon
  • BMO Private Wealth
  • EY
  • Mondelēz International
  • Nutrition International
  • Sysco
  • The PREC Planners
  • Travelers Canada
  • Victor Insurance

If you are a corporate group looking to support the Ottawa Food Bank this year, we welcome you to participate in the Adopt a Crop program for the 2025 season. This program allows you to become the ambassador of a chosen crop on our Community Harvest farm, and “champion” it over the course of the May to September growing season.

Thank you to our Corporate Community Ambassadors, and all of our corporate supporters who give their time and dedication to supporting our mission!
