Today, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to OC Transpo, Loblaw, the City of Ottawa, and all the dedicated staff, volunteers and community members who helped ensure the success of the 38th annual OC Transpo / Loblaw Christmas Food Drive!
On Saturday, December 3, OC Transpo busses visited Loblaws, No Frills, Superstore, and Your Independent Grocers locations across the city. We couldn’t have done it without Ottawa’s Best Volunteers!
This year, the Ottawa Food Bank is projected to spend $6 million on food to ensure we were able to keep up with unprecedented demand and providing a variety of nutritious food options. Because the Ottawa Food Bank is able to obtain food in such large quantities, and due to our incredible food industry partners and supporters, we are able to make your donation go further. This means that every $1 donated results in about $5 of food delivered to the community!
