We do not take for granted the incredible generosity we have received during the 2021-2022 fiscal year from individuals, community groups, and workplaces. During this period, we saw record-breaking demand for food support in our community. It is thanks to our generous supporters that we were able to meet this unprecedented demand.

To keep up with the increasing impacts of food insecurity in Ottawa, we are relocating to a larger facility. Moving To A Healthier Future is the campaign to help fund the move and retrofit of a bigger and improved warehouse space for the Ottawa Food Bank. This high-priority, one-time project builds capacity to receive and distribute more healthy food, and meet the increased needs from record-breaking numbers of people who are turning to the Ottawa Food Bank’s network of 112 agencies for help.

Through the campaign, $1.3 million was received and pledged from the community, towards the $6 million relocation and retrofitting costs of the Ottawa Food Bank’s new, larger home. It is an honour to publicly thank and recognize the individuals and organizations in our community who are making leadership gifts that make it possible to build the capacity of our network while maintaining service to the community.
