The Great Glebe Garage Sale is Back!

For the first time in-person since 2019, the Great Glebe Garage Sale is back!

This year the Great Glebe Garage Sale is back in-person for the first time since 2019! This iconic community event has supported the Ottawa Food Bank since 1986. Vendors, visitors and businesses are asked to contribute 10 per cent or more of sales to the Ottawa Food Bank. In 2019, the sale raised almost $12,000 in donations! The impact of this fundraiser is tremendous as we typically see a large dip in donations during the summer months. You can help provide food and support for over 44,000 community members by participating in the amazing fundraiser!

Here are 4 ways to donate:

  1. Donate proceeds at OFB tent before 2pm. The OFB tent will be located outside Metro McKeen. Thank you to Metro McKeen for providing a space for the Ottawa Food Bank to participate!
  2. Send donations to the Ottawa Food Bank warehouse location at 1317 Michael St identifying donations as “Great Glebe Garage Sale”.
  3. Donate on our website (choose “Great Glebe Garage Sale” from the drop-down menu).
  4. Use the GiveShop App to make donating a one stop shop – see virtual kit below for more information.

About the Great Glebe Garage Sale:

The Great Glebe Garage Sale is a popular community event held in the Glebe on the fourth Saturday in May since 1986, when it was established by the Glebe Community Association. This year is the first in-person event since 2019!  Homeowners in the Glebe are the primary vendors from their front lawns, driveways and porches. Collectively they make one giant sale (and awesome recycling event) that has become an annual community festival attracting thousands of people to the neighbourhood.
