Working with a network of community food programs is at the heart of what we do at the Ottawa Food Bank. The 2024-2025 fiscal year was a transformational one: a year of growth, adaptation, and milestones in our ongoing efforts to fight food insecurity. In our latest Year in Review report, we share stories and insights from this pivotal year.
During the 2024 to 2025 fiscal year, the network of 67 member agencies operating 92 community food programs reported a record-breaking 588,866 visits—a 101% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels. To help meet this growing need, we distributed 7,932,502 pounds of food to our network to help families and individuals accessing emergency food support.
Our Year in Review report also highlights our continued investments in member agencies, the wrap-around support initiative (WASI), and advancements in food bank operations technology, along with insights from people with lived experience through the equiTABLE Resident Action Group. We also showcase how our industry partners, volunteers, and donors come together to support Ottawa households in need.
Thank you to our generous supporters, and to the member agencies who help us fight food insecurity in our communities. Your support makes this work possible.
