Holiday Food Drive: Join Us!

It is hard enough to not be able to provide gifts to your loved ones at this time of year. But not being able to provide food either is heartbreaking!

Help us raise funds and food this holiday season by registering for our annual
Holiday Food Drive, presented and by Mosaic!

Each year, we call on individuals, community groups and workplaces across Ottawa to collect funds and non-perishable food for families in need, as part of our Holiday Food Drive.

This giving season, we are calling on your support. Proceeds of the Holiday Food Drive help the Ottawa Food Bank provide food and support to the network of member agencies and their communities well into the winter months. Without this support, it would be difficult to continue to keep up with the demand for assistance in Ottawa.

Why participate in the Holiday Food Drive?

This year, the Ottawa Food Bank is proud to announce Ava James-Sidoli as the 2021 Holiday Food Drive Youth Ambassador, recognizing her incredible philanthropic efforts and dedication to our cause. Check out the video below to hear why the Holiday Food Drive is important to Ava:

Returning for the 3rd year in a row, Mosaic has sponsored the 2021 Holiday Food Drive. Check out what Tyler Hopson has to say about Mosaic’s involvement:

On average in North America, Mosaic supports more than 136 food security organizations investing nearly $1.7 million annually. Nearly 3 million meals have been provided to families in need in Canada where they invest in food security and education initiatives.

The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) is the world’s leading integrated producer and marketer of concentrated phosphate and potash. They employ more than 13,000 people in six countries and participate in every aspect of crop nutrition development.

They mine and process phosphate and potash minerals into crop nutrients, and then ship via rail, barge and ocean-going vessel to their customers in the major agricultural centers of the world.

The work of mining and processing potash and phosphate minerals is an energy- and water-intensive endeavor. They work carefully to maximize efficiencies and minimize their use of energy and natural resources, and have made significant progress in reducing Mosaic’s environmental footprint.

Mosaic is an important driver of economic activity in each of their operating communities. They strive to be a thoughtful and engaged neighbour, using their financial resources, expertise and innovative spirit to demonstrate their shared commitment to good corporate citizenship.
